Part 1: Original Sin

In Original Sin we see two dancers on a swing. Our contemporary Adam and Eve, gardeners of Eden: charismatic, romantic, and completely themselves. But also hungry for meaning and attention. In 21 physical scenes, interwoven with 21 piano pieces by Reinout Scholten van Aschat, we see the pair not only play with each other, but also playing each other. A duet about vanity, guilt, and gravity.
 
Part 2 - Before Her Joke Lands

Before Her Joke Lands is an experimental dance solo for dancer Thalia Crymble (Netherlands Dance Theatre), with new music by composer Annelinde Bruijs (Orkater, Nineties Productions).
 
Before Her Joke Lands is choreographed as an ensemble piece for one body—a symphony for the orchestra that exists within one person. It is a solo about the elusiveness of identity, and about the tension between wanting to be seen, but not too clearly. As in the moment right before your joke lands. Held in that inescapable in-between, a series of strategies unfolds, a string of ways to hide in plain sight.
