With the audiovisual musical video installation SONGOFSONGS, BVDS brings an ecological orgy to theatres this season. With pixels, paint and living bodies, BVDS creates a constantly changing triptych: on a slow pulse, an ancient human creation story is transformed into an erotic narrative of a multi-organism.

SONGOFSONGS shows a woman in the middle of her life, in a period of transition (some would call menopause). She is called Mommy and, together with a community of lovers, she practices love making to  the more-than-human beings she meets in her intimate practitioners room. The performance doesn’t sing of a hero's journey, but explores a way of ecological storytelling. A form of storytelling that is not linear but circular, not rational but intuitive, that prizes  conversations over  monologues and relationships over individuals. It is a way of storytelling that roots humans back into our ecosystem, into our great wild family of furry, fungal and vegetal kin..
